Employ Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers – Suffolk to support ongoing container and trunking contracts across the county. Our current work is based from sites in Bury St Edmunds and Woolpit, with routes covering Suffolk and surrounding areas.

If you are a Class 1 driver based in Ipswich, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Sudbury, Thetford or the wider Suffolk region, we have structured Monday to Friday work available with consistent start times and guaranteed minimum hours.

Pay Rates for HGV Class 1 Drivers – Suffolk

• Monday to Friday: up to £17.80 per hour
• Saturday: up to £20.50 per hour
• Sunday: up to £21.25 per hour

Paid via in-house PAYE payroll. No umbrella deductions

(In-House Payroll – No Umbrella)

AM and PM start times available

• Tanker drop and swap work between UK customer sites
• No tanker experience required – loading and unloading completed on site
• Average shift length 11 hours
• Full-time and part-time shifts available

This is straightforward trunking-style work without manual handling.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience
• Valid DCPC card
• Digital Tachograph card
• Professional, reliable attitude
• Good written and spoken English
